Upper Key Stage Two: Years 5 and 6

In Badger Class, the children complete the Upper Key Stage Two curriculum and deepen their knowledge and skills. There are new experiences to be enjoyed; for example, the children have the opportunity to learn to play the recorder. They also put on an end of year production each year to entertain our families - past performances have included 'The Tempest' and 'Carmen'. The children design and build a kit car too, which they race competitively against other schools at the Uckfield Mini Grand-Prix. In addition, they have the option to train with coaches to achieve a cycling proficiency award. During their time in Badger Class, the children enjoy two residential trips: PGL and Bushcraft, where they improve their resilience, independence and teambuilding skills through a series of challenges.
